i am considering selling a domain of mine that gets over 1000 visiters per day

It is a name of a game launching is november so traffic should be nearly 10 times that when it launches

the game will be very popular as its the new version of counter-strike (counter-strike.net) which i believe was the top selling or #1 PC game for the last 3 years

The traffic usually jumps much more that that. Since this is a kind of typein domain, You can easily look forward to 500,000 uniques on the day game is launched and much more if you manage to get page-1 listing on google.

I own a site targeted on a particular game title which was launched in November-02. I was #12 on google for that game title on the day of launch and got 300,000+ uniques on the day of launch and I had to move that domain/site on a dedicated server, that too when my domain was not a typein domain. And I made good money out of the amazon affiliate links that I had placed on all pages of that site. Right now I don't have sufficient funds available with me or else I would have bought it without second thoughts.

IMHO you are giving away a domain with great potential for close to nothing ($500).

Where do you get the "1000 visitors per day" figure from?

Because I think it's wrong, and your stats clearly state that only 24.51% of all the visits it does receive (total of only 224 per day, average) are Direct Requests (type-ins).
So in effect, "conditionzero.com" only receives 50 to 70 type-ins per day, not 1,000!

Please clarify.

title should read hits per day
but the stats are slightly off as it is counting hits per ip range so if 216.567.XXX visited
then 216.786.XXX a few mins later it wouldnt be counted as unique

will get a moderator to change it anyhow....

i rang up Valve Software and asked them if they have any issues with me using the domain conditionzero.com, they said no and i asked them if they could send a signed letter stating that and they said they would....

EDIT: i can send the letter if/when i get it

Um. Hmmm. Game gets launched right before christmas. Every 10-15 year old wants it and even many 30 year olds and up. Find a software affiliate that you can link directly to the game, make a deal with the game server co to link to servers etc... Don't be lazy like me, you may have a one time shot at making some real money here. If you got 50,000 hits a day and sold a game to just 1 percent and made $5 per sale that's $2500. For a day. Could be much bigger for a brief period. If your confident this is going to be a blockbuster hang on.

Just to clarify ... I think you have things a bit wrong.

Hits are just the number of files loaded in a time period. The real number of uniques is 'visits' ... pages is 'impressions'

Hope that clears up something
