Several domains that I offered on eBay back in 2001 and 2002 and didn't sell for $500 wound up being sold by me a few years later in the high X,XXX range to end users, newdevelopments.com and acnefree.com being two examples. That's why although I think it's fun to have others appraise my domains, I'm not too concerned if I don't get any takers or wind up with an appraisal in the $100 range...

I doubt if the buyer is a member of the forum, and I agree on your assessments about appraisals on forums in general.

I would never base my prices, on what others think the value is!

Appraised one day at '0' and later sold for $1500.

Just goes to show the potential in this industry.

Still, it's worth asking for appraisals here because
someone might give some insight into how the name
could be used, or its marketability, that you hadn't
thought of before.
