1st sale help needed urgently please!

Hi guys,

Have wrapped up a deal to sell one of my domain names and need to know how best to handle both the payment and transfer of ownership.
I want to make sure I do everything correctly so as to not affect any future sales.

I would be very grateful for any help in this matter

get the money first


preferrably thru escrow.com,direct wire transfer or some other third party source like sedo, afternic or moniker

if it's small amount, maybe even paypal if you feel you can trust the buyer.

after you have received payment , then either push the domain to the buyer or have them initiate a transfer request.

note: a "push" is when you move a domain from one account to another account, within the same registrar. it's the quickest way to complete the transaction.

transfers are when a domain is transferred from one registrar to another.

Both Moniker and Escrow are decent to deal with depending on the amount.

Probably don't need escro at that low amount if you get the money in solid funds prior to transferring the domain. Some buyers insist on escro if they do not know or trust seller to follow thru on the transfer. Costs of escro can be negotiated; often the buyer will agree to pay if they insist on using that for their protection.
