Just a clarification for everyone The domain was created to complete the package for the buyer. I was not using the site for sales. I was using free boards such as this SP, DP, DNforum, craigslist etc. to advertise our services. The site is an add on for the buyer of this business to help them grow and make it complete.

daniel, thanks for the post. The domain was created to complete the package for the buyer. I was not using the site for sales. I was using free boards such as this SP, DP, ********, DNforum, craigslist etc. to advertise our services. The site is an add on for the buyer of this business to help them grow and make it complete. Does this clarify your question?

Yes, i understand thanks. You should make that clear in your post, it reads as if the website studentmailings.com earned $20k when it is actually your backend service you have been running that is not explained.

Droplister: I called my account rep for the CTR number. I am not an expert on affiliate programs so really do not know how they generate that number but will post as soon as he calls me back to let you know how those numbers are derived.

Patroiz: People Purchase mailings either for 1 time a months. 3 times a year. 12 times a year etc. The price for a mailing for a full year is about $3,000.00. I may have given that person a discount for their first order. By buying a full year of mailings he will save money illustrated below:

1 email a month @ the standard rate of $350.00 = $4,200.00
if you pay in advance for the year for the $3,000.00 for the same 12 emails per year 1 a month the client saves $1,200.00. Does this make sense?

If you see the site we have options fo rmailings. We offer 1 time one college mailings, 1 time all college mailings and then plans for 3 months mailings or yearly mailings. Make sense?

Argie: It is turnkey in that it is already setup, and completely functional, but it will NOT be duplicated and sold to anyone else like most people think of turnkey. This is a fully functional, and developed site setup to assist with this business.

Looks like a ripoff to me. iTrader = 0. Screens are fake. Name regged 4 days ago. Website is barely done, look at it in opera for example.

Also this thread is for developed websites. And you are selling A WAY TO MAKE MONEY, SENDING EMAILS + domain which has 0 traffic and links.

Sounds like a wrong section.

This IS a developed website/business and is making money. The above explains that he was selling the site, with the lists, so that you can chanel your customers to the site for a final purchase.

you can see this auction is also running here, and happens to be a board where the site owner sold to multiple people, with atleast one posting return customer:

http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=116866

As far as traffic, that is clear the traffic is minimal, but the above proof of income tells anyone that can read there has been alot of money made off of list rentals, and affiliate networks from the owner running the list on their own.

This is a great opportunity for someone with the $cash$

How can it be a DEVELOPED website when it was regged 4 days ago? Please tell me. I have 350-400 domain names and some cash, can you please DEVELOP them for me in 4 days?

I did not said it is not great. I just said 2 impr made 5700 clicks looks weird to me.

Also where is ALL THE STATS coming from? Which website made all that clicks? This name was just regged. So how can you put up some stats with a name that has nothing to do with it?

inspired1: you have the whole thing wrong sorry. The business is marketing to students via email lists that are 98% .edu. I marketed the selling of campaigns where I would send out emails for clients to advertise their products or services for them. That is one side. The other side is I sent out newsletter emails to the list on my own to make affiliate money. All screen shots are active and real.

To clarify the click VS impression ratio:

As the affiliate ads were ran through emails, from the same lists that will be provided to the new owner, there is, to my knowledge, no way to track actual impressions, for the affiliate, as a text email would not show any type of image to monitor access to.

Thus, each email that received clicks, turned a high percentile of click VS impression ratio as the affiliate network has no solid way of tracking actual emails sent.

It is the clicks that matter in an email affiliate campaign scenario, not the impressions. This is a CPA/CPC type campaign not a CPM.

Hope this helps!

The site did not make the money. The lists dd. I built the site 4 days ago to sell it along with the list to make it easier for the buyer to continue to do what I do to keep making the same income as I have been. I am also doubling the list size with brand new untouched lists fot the buyer to run new affiliate adds and also have a larger list for current clients to send to and new clients to market to.

Again hope this clarifies things and helps.

Droplister: Here is the answer from my account manager - a CTR is calculated by the percentage of clicks that are made to how many times a banner was displayed or HTML image. So, your stats are showing that you have 43 impressions a 19,565 clicks. typically, if someone were looking to track their CTR, they would be using a banner or HTML image in their email. So everytime that banner/Image is displayed, it counts as an impression. Then everytime there is a click, it counts the click. So typically, it would show something like 10,000 impressions, 3,000 clicks. So it would be a 30% CTR. Since you have more clicks then impressions, then your CTR is way above 100%. the only reason you even have impressions, is when you looked at the creatives for a couple of the offers, it just so happened in that list of 5 creatives on the page, one of them was a banner image and it counted it as an impression, since it was displayed. So the low impression count to very high click count has cause the CTR to show a % above 100.

Hope this helps the CTR question.

It is becasue I am sending out text emails not posting html ads on a website. Bottom Line. The CTR has no meaning in my campaigns becasue they are emailed newslettters, not website banners etc.

CoolJeeba:

I developed this site for Joepan, and can tell you that this site is administered through Joomla, including the components to receive payments online. The payment script allows for various custom options, including, though not limited to membership restriction, and the ability to integrate with outside scripts.

Additionally, to what you do not see from the user end, this site also includes OEMPro by Octeth, which is run on a seperate server from the home site, simply which helps with speed issues.

Any more info needed on this you are free to PM me, though the sell of this site is by Joepan, my knowledge availability is to the site layout.

Thanks,

Shane

Here is the answer to the second part of your question:

I am selling this because my main project/business is something I have been working on for 2 years now which is gethomeworkhelp.com an online homework help tutoring site. This is my passion. If you go look at it you will see why (at least I hope) . The sale of this project/business would free up time for me to focus on GHH again before school starts and really take that site to the next level. The money I would sell this site for will go into my GHH business and hopefully really help it grow this school year.

Thank You!
