you based that on a net profit per month of only $7k.....my sites make an average of $9k per month.

So, $9k x 12 months = $108k...lets just say $100k per year

$100k x 5 years = $500k

That is exactly my asking price... $500k ...so according to your accountant, this is a fair asking price....and according to finanacing from the bank...this is an excellent deal because you can get a loan from the bank for $500k and just make a monthly payment of $5k back to the bank and still come out with $4k per month profit.

Best part of all this is that unlike all the head aches that you have to deal with bricks and mortar business.....this only takes 10 minutes a day...about one hour per week to run this online business ......and without any employees and all the headaches.

My accountant tells me a business should be sold on 3 times gross profits minimum and 5 maximum....

UglyPeople.com is a great domain name.

BTW, your accountant and others are not taking into full consideration is the intrinsic value of the domains themselves which should increase in value each year, over and above the current income indicated value.

Rememeber, income in most cases can be greatly improved with more or better products and services, more traffic, more content, greater sales revenue, more PPC, etc. Many domains sold do not even have any products or services offered, or even an active website, and the sale price is almost 100% based on PPC and little else. However, income can be significantly increased on many domains.

Normally it is available as an "Action" at the STORE (link at top of page).
However it seems that it doesn't have a price (DNF$) entered so perhaps you might contact a Moderator for what to do.

Good Luck with your sale...good value I think..

What about the interest on a 500k loan for 5 years that the bank is going to charge.

I wouldn't normally comment on a sale thread (especially since your domains indeed are great) but what caught my attention (and also bugs me) is - If this financing option is such a great deal, and you need 500K, then why don't you just get a loan yourself (which - in your words - domains will pay for themself + you'll have a 4K monthly profit on top of that) and keep the domains?

Again, you've got a nice business there.
Good luck with your sale.

Hi,

The problem is....you can NOT get a loan off your domain names income. You can get a loan of your equity. I can not goto the bank and say...i own these domain names and they are making me this much profit..will you please give me a loan....they don't even know what a domain name is....The bank will NOT give you a loan from these domain names....that is the main problem... or i would never ever sell. You can get a loan from real property....not e-properties....yet....maybe things will change in the future.

other guys question was: how long have i owned these domains? less than 3 yrs....some domains 2 years....some less than one year.

any other questions,
let me know,
Thanks!

My question to the mods of this dnforum: how do i make this a sticky thread? I went to the "store" and clicked on "sticky"...but it will NOT let me submit. I don't think it's working.

Please help,
thanks!

Looks like the Sticky is working fine. It say's Sticky and there is also a paper clip icon there.

P.S. Agree with you about banks. Most all banks would not give a loan based on a domain name as security. Most probably barely know what a domain is.

Great name. I just am not sure anyone here has $500,000 to spend on a site!

My bank manager won't Lend me that much unless i remorgage my house. I am not sure if its worth it. In my openion you are charging ABIT too much. 5 years income is abit too much!

What is your highest offer yet?

dntalk, why don't you ask your bank manager how much the monthly payment would be on a $500k loan....he will tell you a figure between $4,000 to $5,000 per month......and my sites are making $9k/per month...you do the math.....you would be making a profit of $4k/month....so i think its a great deal....also...as time goes on...you should be making more income because of the new sign ups and the old sign ups renewing; you can also advertise people's links for extra income....also....the price of these domains will definately go up as time passes.

your question: what is your highest offer yet? i am working on closing the deal at $500k. I have 3 serious buyers ready to buy at $500k....they are still asking questions...but are very very serious and have the money available and all 3 of them own tons of nice domains....that is how i can tell that they are very serious because they own some expensive rare names. Hopefully, one of them will go thru with the deal.

any other questions,
let me know,
thanks!

So, assuming it consistently earns $9k a month, thats still 5 years before it pays itself off.

Most Revenue sites will go for 1-2 Years Revenue.. ($108k - $216k)

Now.. if it was more like that.. I would consider it.

What you say is true. BUT, you have to consider the intrisic value in having such great names, a 3 letter .com can go for 10,000 with out any income.
I usually would not buy a domain name for more than a few bucks....BUT If busness.com could go for 7 mil than all this is a deal!

Any update on this sale?

I understand that most of your traffic/earnings are due to the traffic from uglypeople.com going to AdultFriendFinder.com affiliate program. Am I right?

What is the traffic per month for "each" of the other domains in the package? Please provide traffic stats separately for each domain.

I am interested if other domains have good type-in traffic.

Thanks,
