I am trying to decide what to do with a domain name and website I created in 2008. I'm either going to sell it here before the end of July, or I'm going to keep it and try to further monetize it between now and year end.
The domain is www.2010Christmas.com.
Last year the site had 350 visitors during the first 6 months of the year - and 6,300 visitors during the last 6 months. It generated $60 in revenue (adsense).
So far this year, the site has received 5,700 visitors and $70 in revenue (adsense). If traffic increases like it did in 2009, I'm expecting an addition 60,000 visitors and $500 in adsense revenue between now and year end. This is just an estimate - obviously it could be more or less.
96% of the traffic comes from search engines (80% from Google) based on 800+ unique keywords. The top phrases driving traffic are:
