I signed up for 2Checkout more than 2 years ago, but haven't really used it. Then in September this year, they implemented a Canadian-friendly fund transfer mechanism, so I just started using them again. However, they issued a "high risk warning" re: my first sale, just because it triggers 1 or more of their pre-set criteria:

- Larger Order 300.00 needs checked
- Buyer Changed Card Holder Name
- Buyer Took 3 or more attempts to get the order in

Now they ask the buyer to fax them copies of:

- credit card statement
- state or country ID card
- signature

in order for the order to go through.

Isn't that too tight?

Just ignore it and make your own verification - IP, call the buyer etc. and than accept it. I sell via 2CO $x-xx,xxx per month and 90% of the payments get "high risk warning"...

Yeah, I have accepted the order (since I actually "know" the buyer, a member here), and pushed the domain name over. However, 2Checkout manually picked it out and marked the order as "canceled". They now require the buyer to fax them the documents in order to reconsider processing it.

2checkout is terrible I say 'beware'.

Chargeback haven for scammers.

They should be called 2Chargeback

All 3rd party solutions are risky... paysystems got shut down, and no longer offer 3rd party processing. I never liked them anyway. I refund a lot of sales because I hand check for fraud.
