Wanted: Service $300 Name.com logo design contest!

I'm looking for a good logo for Name.com. You can get an idea of the new site design at http://www.rankhigh.org/name.com/ (the current URL is http://www.name.com). The layout will probably change a bit and the Flash will probably not be there when all is done, but the over all feel will remain the same.

If you want to participate, send me your ideas to [email protected] or post them here on the forum. If we choose your logo we'll pay you $300 for it. I'm looking for quality here and some picky people will be deciding on the final design.

My alter-suggestion is to check out Elance.com too. For that money you will get a great design (they will do free mockups for you, so you can choose the one you like the most) plus the whole "corporate identity" shabang --- consisting of logo, logo & address & motif for a business card & business envelope & business stationary paper.

What kind of comission? You want a percentage of profits from a site that you design a logo for?

FYI, we are looking at the samples and portfolios that have been submitted to us and should be making a decision soon. In a way we are looking for more than just a logo design, we are also looking for someone we can work with on current and future website, graphic, etc projects.

Maybe you should check out yaxay.com, owen. They have some very talented designers there and for a $300 contest, you are really guaranteed to get some quality logos. We are currently running a contest for one of our sites there and the participation has been quite good so far.
