most of their value also comes from the fact that they are now extinct for free reg, the same thing on a bigger scale is happening to 4 LETTER domains in .com as we speak...once they are ALL GONE, the value jumps 5 x....perception of rarity and value is reality...same with 3 letter .coms...if there were more to be had for reg they would be worth a few hundred bucks instead of 100k...but there are a finite amount of anything and people are willing to pay good money to get what they want...domains are kinda like escorts or prostitutes in that way....you can pay for the best but it's gonna cost ya! Just some ramblings..
