you're right, Chinese market loves numbered web, and if the domain name starts with "0", ( eg: 0512, 0514 - the area code of Chinese tel. num ) it would priced at least $xxxx.

I dont agree with this at all. $x,xxx????

The values of NNNN.com's have risen but dont get fooled by what some domains sell for on SnapNames. Just because you see some sell for $300+ does not mean that those prices are the standard. Domains are grossly overpaid for 95% of the time on that site.

The only time I feel that a NNNN.com is work the $x,xxx range is when its numbered 1800 to 2100 or so. People relate that number with a year. Or if its a repeating number such as 1234, 4567, 9876, 1100, etc...

Explain what someone might use the area code for?? What would a site like that be good for?

Your example of 0512.com is not the best one either. Typically any NNN or NNNN domain starting with a "0" is worth much less than any other number combination. I would say much less.
