huhh... they are unstoppable..

A freshly filed SEC Form 4, dated January 3, 2025, reveals additional stock purchases between December 31, 2024, and January 3, 2025, further increasing Berkshire’s already significant stake in the company.

Key Details from the Latest Filing:
• Transaction dates: December 31, 2024 – January 3, 2025.
• Shares acquired: 20,044 shares.
• Weighted average prices: Ranged from $204.60 to $204.94 per share.
• New total holdings: Over 13.29 million shares.

For those not following this movement, Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway is continuing to buy Verisign shares with another Verisign investment (VRSN) investment.

So, Buffet now owns 13% of Verisign (which owns 169M .com,.net). Crazy ;/

The owners would rather be Berkshire Hathaway not Buffet :)

I just asked ChatGPT to run the numbers:
  • Berkshire Hathaway now holds approximately 13,289,880 shares after the latest purchase.
  • Verisign’s total outstanding shares are approximately 111.9 million (from public data).
  • The estimated ownership percentage is:
    Code:
    (13,289,880 ÷ 111,900,000) × 100 ≈ 11.87%

Thus, Berkshire Hathaway owns around 11.87% of Verisign.

Then, checked this information in the Berkshire Hathaway portfolio table: https://www.cnbc.com/berkshire-hathaway-portfolio/ and it actually says that they own 13.8% of Verisign.
