Though I handle a lot of .orgs I have never taken a numbered .org domain. Took this one because ALL 4-digit even thousand domains are taken in all major extensions. 3.8 million page references in Google too. I know Genki and some others deal a lot in numbered domains. Any ideas on the value (if any)?

P.S. I think one great use for this domain, which was dropped today, would be as a history site as civilization is approximately 7000 years old. In fact there are similarly themed sites already online, including Egypt7000.com.

For reference, I've only been collecting "year" domains i.e. 19xx-20yy (where yy is < 25)

However, I would guess it may be worth a few hundred dollars, if you hang on and wait for a buyer. I'm sure some companies will (over time) release 7000 "series" or "7000" model products...

Thanks Edwin (formerly Genki). I knew you had a lot of date domains and thought you handled some other numbered domains as well. There area lot of 7000 series products (like Dell notebooks). As I added in a late edit to my first post - very nice for a history of civilization site too.

This was a nice grab Duke. I've sold similar names for $50 - $300 and this one is just as good - and even better than most of them were. The number domains are very popular overseas. I think just about every one I've sold has been to someone from China - Japan - Korea - Etc.

7000 is a very nice looking number. Anytime you can get an 'even' whole number like this - it makes it so easy to remember and brand. Congrats on a great drop catch. I dig it - and I don't even do many appraisals. :)

I have absolutely no idea what it's worth ... unfamiliar with "numbered" domains/sales, etc. I guess all I can say, humbly, is that it LOOKS good and should be easily remembered. I'd have registered it, as well. :D
Good Luck.

0 that is how much i would pay
