On the 21/01/10 spongy.com sold on tdnam for $2705 then sold on sedo just a few weeks later for $3100,now with sedo's commission thats less than $100 profit...........

I know we all have done it, but i have not on that scale for one domain,although the seller came out out very little profit,.

Is this failed punt ?

he probably could not find a end user to buy it from him and took the offer.
 
Maybe he just needed cash and liquidated the domain.

Yes.

To be honest, I'm suprised they managed to turn that name round for a profit (on the face of it).
 
The seller could be an impatient flipper.
 
That's $100 more than the owner had a few weeks before.

I haven't even had a purchase reach 10% that yet. :D
