Does a non-ICANN-accredited registrar have a direct drop pool connection by himself or does it have to do that through an ICANN-accredited registrar?

thanks

SAF

errr.... What?

SirAlex - I Think a Direct Drop Pool has to be run through a Registrar - But anyone that gets excepted can run the registry pipe through Versign if approved to see the zone files. I think a Drop Pool means that you want to register the drops direct. If all you want to see is the zone files - you can apply for a link to that at Versign. Hope that helped - Steve

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the reply. I noticed that Yes Verisign lets you access zone files if you fill in some forms and send them to them., but that is just to find out expired domains.

I have been reading RRP version 2.1.0 documentation quite a while and as you stated there are some commands regarding exception. However, I am not sure whether you have to be a ICANN accredited registrar to use RRP connection.

OK.

You are a fcuking idiot. There. I said it.

OF COURSE only ICANN Certified Registrars may access the RRP at VGRS (verisign).

Members should be able to ask even the simplest question without fear of public humiliation. If you can't stand the stupid questions, stop revisiting the thread.

(Not a stupid question SAF)
