p.s. not a bitter comment - but the truth, i've developed some really good sites from domaining and look forward to a prosperous future in making money from the internet. But really, you either need £XXX-£XXXX to succeed, luck or lots of time/skills to develop websites. It's a waste of money otherwise.

I hand-reg'd a .com last spring, just parked it last month & it's made about $10 in the past 30 days (& RPC is rising). Too bad the other ones I reg'd at the same time are making nothing. :-(

Domaining is very competitive, it's just like any other business.
Having some money to get started is preferable but you can still start small. Without the adequate knowledge and understanding you will waste your hard earned $$$$. So it's not just about money.
What's great with domains is that the barriers to entry are low.
But without dedication you will achieve nothing.
There are opportunities that are to be found in domain names only period !
