Not sure if you've all seen this. It's been an ongoing saga for about a year.

This company apparently own the patent for the transmission of compressed video and audio over several media, including internet, phone, cable, LAN etc.

Yes, you read it right; if you offer downloadable video or audio on your site you are in breach of their patent.

They are actively prosecuting companies (mostly adult).

There is a website at www.fightthepatent.com, and I have forwarded some "Prior Art" examples, including the H.120 and H.261 specs for compressed video used in conferencing from the 1980's (the patents are from the early 1990's).
