At first glance I think this is good.

If parking companies are worried, then they better get their act together quick and encourage people to stay.

You always have the option to develop a domain, and sell ad space directly or use affiliate programs, though it takes more work.

Parking and such is just low end, easy to set up options to use until there is a better use for the domain.

How would Adsense for domains work, would you just change the nameservers in your domain settings or what?

If anyone here has used Adwords since the beginning, you know what will eventually happen. Half your parked domains will not live up to some imaginary "quality score" and you'll be slapped :)

I am excited to see this roll out myself.

I get the what Biggedon and Copper are saying, but another google option is a plus in my book.

There are many ways to monetize your domains and this will be worth, at the very least, a try.
This should in turn then inspire the parking companies that know how to innovate and keep pace with the industry to offer, once again, another refined model for the lack of need to develop a domain.

I think showing a potential buyer the power of domains and the various ways to go about making them profitable is a good thing.

But then again don't put all your eggs in one basket, that is, unless your prepared to carefully watch the basket. ;)

This could be absolutely good news.

Sedo PPC is in the shitter. Since the beginning of November, it has steadily gone downhill.

I have one site with adsense that is nearly beating Sedo on a daily basis.

Please be aware of the ENGLISH only accounts.

Here is the information from the Adsense site:

When will I see AdSense for domains in my account?

During the week following December 11th, we'll be gradually rolling out AdSense for domains to all North American publishers with English-language accounts. You should expect to see it appear in your account by December 18th, 2008.

Complete Q&A section -

once that happens, they will start to implement new policies and standards.

There are already too many policies and standards by the existing parking providers.

Outstanding!

Google Adsense for Domainers will provide the premier imprimatur for the Domaining industry.

Google will give Domaining credence & credibility, mainstream legitimacy, bringing it out from "the shadows," endusers will increasingly feel safe and partake(buy domains) in the action.

At least one person understand Economy 101 :D

You may think you'll get more $ by cutting out middleman
and it may as well be that at first, but, not for long.

Parking co. may get % of revenue, but, they have power
to negotiate with Google since Parking co. have tons of members' domains.

By going directly with Google for your domains, you are just one.
Thus, not much power to negotiate with Google.

Google will destroy domainers income ONE BY ONE!

Think about it.
Who get more salary?
Union members or non-union members?

Union members pay union membership fee, but, they get more salary!

true

thing is, this shows up yahoo so much
their 'adsense' is still in beta. they have lost billions on this, now google offering poarked pages, plus yahoo dilly dallying over ms and losing billions. if i was a yahoo shareholder i would be livid
