Well I have been researching this field for a few weeks now so its an early stage to make conclusions, but I did notice some interesting facts. I have a www typo of a domain that has 50K ovt/w ext and receives minimal traffic and another one of a domain with ovt 450 and that one receives over 500 uniques/month and makes a nice PPC rev. What I noticed so far is that when the domain name starts with some specific letters such as l,k,m etc, receives muh more traffic than domains that start with other letters. This must be because of the fact that such letters are close to the "." and this way it seems that someone can miss the dot easier while typing the domain. I am still very far from figuring it out though.
Nevertheless, I started this thread because I would like to hear comments from people who are more experienced and might have an imoprtant information to share on this subject.
GT, I do feel generous and I would share my list, but not before I register some high ovt names for my self first. I have been doing this manually and it is a lot of research, I can't just give it away. When I register a few that I want, I will share the list in DNF with the rest of you guys in the near future
