I own rodeo-drive.com, I'm pretty sure every one knows what/where Rodeo Drive is. I'm trying to decide what to do with this domain.
Here's the scoop: There used to be a fairly nice site on rodeodrive.com & rodeo-drive.com. For some reason the domains were let go, and buydomains bought rodeodrive.com last year for $6K on namewinner, and now is asking mid $$,$$$ for it, some pretty big bucks. I would consider developing it, but here are my concerns:
1. why did the previous owners let a nicely developed site go like that? In fact, they let both the rodeodrive.com and rodeo-drive.com 7 months apart, so i cant imagine it was an accident.
2. if I were to develop it, I feel like I'm just boosting the value of the other domain, rodeodrive.com. If it _were_ ever bought, the competition would obviously be not good for me.
If anywone has any thoughts on what they would do, I'd truly appreciate their input.
Also would any graphic-designer types out there be interested in partnering on developing this site? I'm more of a database programmer / sys-admin kinda guy. So I can do any and all php/mysql programming, hosting etc, but I'm no graphic designer and dont pretend to be. This site would obviously require a very polished look to pull it off and get advertising / listing money from the merchants of Rodeo Drive.
Thanks for you advice.
