age.net at snapnames

Great 3 letter .net but at what cost?

Currently $15,001

Any guesses on final price?

Wouldn't like to guess. Personally think too high now, but just IMO.

Just because you dislike .net names doesn't mean they are not valuable; especially common dictionary words.

I don't dislike .net names, i just feel they're on the downgrade a little. IMO
I own some nice dictionary .nets myself.
I personally think you're better off shelling more for the .com or less for the .info. I prefer these two extensions to .net
Some agree, some don't.
Also, yes it's a three letter dictionary word & has value, no doubt.
It just doesn't interest me in this case.
Likewise, just because you like .net, doesn't mean they will fly out the door for huge prices.
The Traffic auction saw very limited interest for .net. To be fair, there was little interest for .info either.

Sorry Pred, my comment was addressed to tomclowes, even though I didn't quote him.

You would be surprised about the .net and .org sales that go on behind the scenes, never to be disclosed. Also, TRAFFIC is not the paradigm to judge trends by. There is more than meets the eye.

I totally agree with you on that.
I know in particular .org sales are on the rampage a little. There have been some big ones recently, plus i don't know about you, but i never publicize my purchases or sales generally speaking & i know the vast majority go unreported.
I do make some reasonable purchases to flip, but if i shell out big, i have to have a good back up plan to develop. It has to have a special quality.
Do you develop many of yours or do you just stick to broking?
cheers, Pred :greenyes:

I am known to be rather lazy with self-development :-D So I prefer to flip them for profit. The value of quality names more than doubled in the past 18 months. At the same time, PPC at Sedo has dwindled (I had to get this off my chest).

I have noticed a huge slow down as well.

age.net worth $15K , I think so, just not to a reseller like me.

Heck I have fight.info at a BIN of $2K and no bites, thats unbelieveable!

I am not sure the reason for the slowdown. Maybe some people waiting to bid on domains at TRAFFIC? Christmas slowdown coming? Who knows?

I am suprised no bites on fight.info, I have experienced a similar problem with one word generic .us Sold 3-4 in low - mid x,xxx range in September and now nothing.

I reckon a good time for buyers.

Speaking of Traffic auction I wish I entered Boxing.info, science.info got $25K and turned it down. Oh well, it's all about timing. March won't come soon enough :rapture:

Unfortunately, Moniker receives so many .com and other tlds for the Traffic auctions
that I doubt the LV Traffic Auction will have more than a couple .info's in the live auction.

I did see one of the 3 letter .nets go cheaper than it normally would on the open market. Met.net went for $ 10,000. And, the winner also owns a lot of .nets.

One of the reason it went at this price is because most of the heavy bidders
at Traffic are strictly .com believers.
