I believe $10 is the max this would get at dnforum.

Possibility you might be able to sell to either one of those groups, or one of their members. If there was any interest from those, you might seek $1000

Thanks for your clarification GiantDomains.

I was perhaps rather naively assuming I would get appraisals to help me decide what realistic prices I might get an end-user to pay me.

After all, that is the impression I got from the DNForum.com home page, which says "Don't waste $50 for a 'professional' appraisal on your domain..."

Perhaps I should specifically ask for valuations for sales to end-users, rather than sales to resellers.

If anyone reading this thread can give me an idea of what to expect for aiim.net from a purchaser, it will be appreciated.

If it is from one of RJ's suggestions and you did not post any figures in your offer letter then counter. Unless $250 thrills you then go for it.

In general retail value is 3-5 times wholesale value (sometimes more or less).
If you've been offered $250 you'd better grab it.
I think high retail on this name would be less then $100 but thats just my opinion

Thanks for your replies GiantDomains, Sharpy and mudfence.

I have had two people interested in this name in the last couple of weeks (the only two).

Neither of them seem to be either AIIM.com or AIIM.org, but both seem to be somewhat connected with information management.

I think US$250 is a decent price, and I've told the guy that if I don't hear back from the first guy today, he can have it at that price.

Mudfence: Thanks for your rule of thumb guide that retail value is often 3-5 time wholesale value. Very useful when assessing the retail valuations given.
