I've owned it for a few years and want to see if anyone out there is willing to offer a fair amount for it. It gets about 900-1,000 typeins / month and yes they are nearly 100% typeins. Nothing has ever been developed on it. It has received this kind of traffic for as long as I can remember.
AIMclone needs to be developed into a very simple software program that lets AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) users sign on 2 screennames at the same time on the same computer. I have seen AIMclone software programs before and know that it can be done in a matter of minutes by changing some code. A program like this could be developed in no time if you're a programmer who knows what you're doing, or you could probably pay someone $100 to make it through elance or a similar freelance site.
I had planned to use it in conjunction with a search engine website I was launching and would make the AIMclone download free, as most people would expect it to be, but also have the download include the toolbar to my search engine. So in order to get the free AIMclone software they'd also have to download my toolbar. If developed, there is no doubt the site will draw even more traffic than it is currently getting, potentially many thousands daily. The key is coming up with an idea like bundling the toolbar with it or any other creative idea you may have in mind to make money from it.
Simply put, this is a very strong keyword domain that has been already receiving many typeins and can be developed into a major traffic machine in no time at all. I'm focusing more on launching a major template / hosting company and a few other financial sites, and the AIM related name just does not fit with any of my major projects that I currently wish to spend my time on.
If someone has the interest and desire in a new software product that would generate loads of traffic, then this domain is for you.
