Elequa,

Alice may not be united with Ult or BuyD. today.

Has anyone tried contacting Alice to find out what they are doing?

I went to their website and did not notice any mention of a drop club.

"It would seem to me that the fair method of distribution would be to have round robin type 'lotteries' much as was done for the .US and some of the other new domain extensions. "

I'm really fascinated by this concept of "fair".

If I am willing to pay $500 for something, then how is it "fair" to give it to someone who is only willing to pay $50?

Should we sell houses this way too?

For example, there is a house I would like to buy. If there is someone who will pay $500K for the house, and I only have $100K, then we should flip a coin to see who gets to buy the house, right?

I absoloutely agree with you, but let's talk about reality. You and me, and I am sure all of us know that the money can buy anything and money can buy luck as well. Lottery system is nothing better than bidding system. Why? Because a person can setup 50 accounts to increase their chances. As it is said, this world is not fair neither is any system in it.

AR.COM catched a domain via POOL for me last year.. too bad they don't allow you to transfer names away (and in general do not answer any support calls).. So now I'm stuck with their $29 (!!) renewal fee.. useless lot..
