Domain: Domain: teletextholidays.com
Site: SnapNames
Close date: 7/3/05
Sale Price: $125,250 (ended)

It has decent US Overture with extension (357) and massive UK Overture with extension of 2,654. However, it looks like it was dropped by the owners by mistake.

$125,250 is a lot to risk on a name like this...don't ya think? Even if it earned $100 a day, it would take almost FOUR YEARS to break even...and I don't think it will take long to get a C&D on this one. Any bets as to when www.teletextholidays.co.uk tries to get their name back?

This is crazy...you could by an amazing generic .com for $125,250.

It may not get paid for, I've never seen either of the 2 bidders who ran it up bidding at Snapnames before.

Maybe we should bet on how long it takes those two to get their accounts cancelled.

ummm .... this is the definitive definition of a cybersquatting, don't think this is their 'plan', not at $125,000+ maybe at $125

This name will earn more than $100 per day - they'll make $125k back in a year.

It could be defendable.

Teletext is a communications medium.

Would be comparable to internetholidays.com imo.

seems they did otherwise whois info wont show otherwise.

Yea, I've never seen the whois update while a domain is in "payment pending" status with SnapNames. It seems SnapNames lost out on $125,000+ and someone got very very lucky they didn't get a C&D days after spending all that cash.
