Firstly of all, welcome to our domain community. Just stick to different threads and follow their discussions; I think this is most effective way to learn yourself. 
. And, before you consider registering any new domain and since you are newbie in domaining, I suggest you to know about legal issues related to domaining. An article by me goes here-
