curious if anyone can give examples of companies that are using .BIZ tld for real marketing or commerce.

-a company that owns .biz for IP protection and redirects it to another tld would not count.

-an adsense or PPC 'site' would not count.

-a template site, antena booster site, RX site, or other 'BS' site would not count - these should be real businesses.

thanks!

As seen on cabs in newyork city:

Paris.biz
Hotels.biz

Others:

Billboard.biz
DanNelson.biz (car sales)
SBJ.biz (Southern Business Journal)
GamesIndustry.biz

There are quite a few out there...

ImageHost.biz (even gets OVT with extension)
Global-Reach.biz
Amsterdam.biz

BlackNet.biz

osim.biz
They own osim.com but redirects to osim.biz and marketing with .biz also.

Be encouraged by what you see... Most of these sites appear to be medium to small businesses from all sorts of industries. There are a few big fish in there...

No problem... I have been following specific .biz names very closely lately...

I've been very surprised by my own .biz sales this year. They are keeping up with my .info and .us sales and several have gone into 4 figures. Most of the buyers are small businesses that have been priced out of the .com market for the same terms. I hope .com prices keep rising because that has the effect of pushing more of the smaller entities to alternate extensions. These people don't have $50,000 to spend but they do have $500-$2,500 and that is still a very healthy markup over what it cost to acquire these domains.

Re: .biz
Websites that benifit from email traffic often use the .biz tld.

i also find that many spamming email have their affiliate site using .biz
