got this email, but i have too many different email accounts i dont check regularly, maybe its too late but i did what they asked today.

what does this mean, i translated it with automatic program, seems they will delete my domain because of whois data ? although this was correct.
anything i can do about it ? like tell dnic to F** off ? whois is changed now anyway, where do they get their 'proof' from ?

Sehr geehrter Herr Smichael

ordnungsgemaesse Domaindaten einzutragen bzw. zumindest nachtraeglich
herzustellen.

For .de domains, you need an admin-c contact in germany. also this contact must have an official address in germany, denic told you - your admin-c address for your domain - is not valid. So they are going to delete your domain, as your domain does not match the .de restrictions.

the whois did have an admin address in germany ..

so they think the address is fake ? also its only 1 domain they complain about. they did not say anything about the other domains with same whois in same register account. crazy ?

Hallo chungju4,

It says:

They want you to update the admin-c data, because they think the contact
information are not correct.

By the way, they said the update should be made by the latest of August
25th, so maybe it's too late now.

thanks yeh i updated the data early today, although dnic whois has not changed yet. usually it updates quite quickly.

Is it normal for dnic to delete domains or contact people about whois data? i thought .de had 8 million registrations and was all automatic like com. even uk with only 4 million regs, dont seem to care or do anything about fake/incorrect whois.

I guess it's too late now. Germans are very punctual with deadlines, I know it from living few years in Germany. ;)

Could you just reregister when its deleted?

Yes, Denic contacts you directly if there are problems with your domain name(s). They take their job serious and try to correct as much wrong/faked whois information as possible and/or to delete the domains if they've been registered against Denic's terms.

ok - must be impossible though with 9 million registrations.
do they check manually ?

.de stands for "delete" it seems :-D

I think .de has rules about nameservers being in Germany, too? Not sure if they changed that....I have no .de names of my own.

No if I remember well they require 2 name servers responding and the 2 servers must not share the same C class.
Sedo parking is OK for example.

2nd requirement as said above: have an admin-c contact in Germany and use an E-mail address that is checked on a regular basis for the whois (just in case there is something wrong).
Failing that they are prompt to delete the names and fees are not refunded I imagine :dead:
