Do you have any idea how much percentage of the type in visitors mistype .com to .cm , .co or .om .

Are you aware of any stats?

That .cm is BS, IMO. I hardly believe anyone mistype .com as .cm

Yes I have never mistype .com to .cm. May be a couple of times to .con when got drunk.

i mistype .com to .cm and .co all the time. even .xom.

I misstype .cm all the time

Thanks, Carter.

Interesting articles.

My most common mistype is "gogole.com ".

My common mistype is "ggooggle" because my keyboard is broken (letter G) after I've crashed my bottle of beer on it one night :)

"gggooggle" is my second LOL

Seriously, I don't know why but I think the peoples mistyping domains these days are less than in past...

Anyway check this site http://typosquat24.com/

Look how many ppl squatting DNF :( http://typosquat24.com/dnforum.com/

Yes, .vom and .con are understandable mistypes. I doubt a 3 letter word can be oftenly mistyped with a 2 letter.

Rare or Never for .cm mistype other mistypes more likely

back in the old days of the Real Overture Tool

you could enter those extensions and see all the top kw that were mis-typed

most of them were google, yahoo, youtube, etc.

you could expect that the domains that have the most type-ins will also have the most typo .ext

i suspect that .cm domains have already been tested for traffic, so anyone buying them will probably only get those with the least or no traffic.

expect those with the highest traffic to be auctioned at a premium.

imo...

I do it at least once or twice a day, normally for Google.cm

I think I didn't mistype .cm because I'm not interested on that extension :P

I recall reading that ".co" is the most common typo for ".com". I'll try to find the source...

Are there any stats out there on how many times .com could be misspelled to .cm? I just can't find anything.

having owned some of these or tested them before the .co and .cm are very very low something way less than 1% but most people look at a website with 5 million hits and think wow thats alot of traffic then but truth of the matter is those big websites get the vast majority of their traffic from links and search engines and thus the actual number of real type-ins to get mistaken are many many times lower to begin with. Plus the ctr % is even worse, the best ones would be .xom or .con the missing letter esp. on the end does not really occur all that often. Don't waste your cash!

.co has more traffic than a .cm. You can check Alexa or Compete (Check Google.co & google.cm). In my opinion .co is a better typo than a .cm
