Yep, I've been contacted too.

Wow, bad grammar in English *and* German! :)

Let me guess, they also want you to buy an appraisal? ;)

no idea lol
emails went staright to spam and phishing bin

i do know his phone number will be appearing on gay escort sites lol

i got one too. thought it may had been real as i couldn't find anything about it on google.

It's funny... I've received the same email too.

It's to the email address that is NOT listed on WHOIS (it's the one I use for domaining forums)... and was referring to a domain name that I recently sold on Sedo... but my Sedo account uses a different email...

Additionally, I've never made any mention of this name on DNforum.

To make matters worse, the buyer of the name on Sedo was from Germany, and hasn't paid for the name yet.

And to make things even weirder, I received 2 fake emails from a gmail account indicating that I have received a new private message at "Domain Forums" citing my username, and the PM linked to a porn site. No such email arrived in my inbox here at DNforum.

My opinion? I think that something was hacked on DNforum's end, giving the hacker access to usernames and respective email addresses.

Somehow, offers via email always seem to lead to that... or a refusal to pay with Escrow :)

yes, i have privacy on some domains and he can't know my email
i have names listed on some of my sales sites though and he seems to have cherrypicked best names and then searched names til he found a commonly repeating email on whois and sent to that, rather than using contact form
wheres the best places to post HIS email to get him blasted with spam?
without signing up naturally

actually maybe make a complaint to his host and registrar?

this is also the spammers email: [email protected]

It's possible to do... I wouldn't concern myself with it though.

Put the email address in one of those "free newsletter" boxes on a clickbank product.

I use a special "secondary" email address for such newsletters... I wonder why 95% of all such emails received there are for poker, pills and porn?

Got that same email as well. I told him that asking me to make him an "offer" for a domain he contacts me about, makes no sense. Typical spammer posing as a business.

I got one today. Looks like they are domainers too.
