Namescout has acquired several names for me on behalf of Pool.com.

Unfortunately, I can't get them to change the GD nameservers.

Yes, I can log into namescout. Yes, it says the nameservers are changed in the CP.

Do they really get changed? No. I've talked to namescout on the phone about it. They said they saw a problem. They said they'd fix it. Meanwhile, it doesn't get fixed. The domain still points to the pool parking page.

Do I have to transfer out of namescout to get control of my own nameservers??

WTF?

I buy these domains to use them, not to let Pool and Namescout jack me around.

Anyone else have this problem, or get it fixed?

Hi,

It seems to have been a freak issue, and was resolved after more phone calls. For some reason, a namescout supervisor had to go in and change the nameservers manually, even though they were showing correctly in the control panel.

Pool also saw this thread and offered to help. I thought it appropriate to let everyone know the issue was resolved.

Exactly the same problem as you state. Nobody responds to emails or picks up the phone.

Wasted literally hours on trying to get our nameservers changed, something that takes 5 minutes with other registrars :(

What can I do? Doees anybody have any advice other than repeatedly trying to contact them?

It's ridiculous that we have paid thousands of dollars to Pool for our domain names and months later can't change their nameservers because the Namescout interface is full of bugs. So those thousands of dollars have effectively been wasted?

I am new here. I did try pool to snap some names but never got any result. the domains expired some took them and i never got informed anything. they do have some problem. i will try snapnames or something

Unfortunately, the obvious answer is truly the best solution.

Move them now.

If you wait, you will find that transferring valuable domains out of Namescout
is difficult. They will come up with a number of excuses.

Cut your losses and move now.
