Online Chess is very good for the brain, I like playing it. Stopped playing when I started High School. I'm glad I found my way back to Chess. It's a great strategy game to enhance your IQ Level. Strategy Games are fun cause when you make a mistake, you learn from it!

If anyone ever plays online at chess_com - drop me a PM if you like challenge me.

I play once a year in the Chicago Open tourny :)

I really never played online, but have played since grade school and now enjoy teaching and playing with my son.

I play at ICC (chessclub.com) & Free Internet Chess Server (freechess.org). Semi-retired from over-the-board tournament play - just a few events a year now.

That reminds me - I need to renew my ICC membership :o

Sooner or later we should have a DNF Charity Chess tournament.

Oh, I play here and there.

Used to play well. Has to be a real board though, never could visualize the pieces properly online or on an electronic chess game.

I've played chess for many years and I love it. The problem now is its too time consuming but I still play a game every once and awhile. I know this about it....the more you play the better you play....its a great game.

One of these years I'll figure out what to do with my chess.me domain. :)

I used to play on ICC and playchess, but now only play offline in tourneys few times a year :)

Anyone here has a fide rating?

Hi Michael,

I think we had this discussion a while back ... I'm an FM, old FIDE rating of 2250 (haven't played a FIDE-rated game in years).

Anyone else?

I learned to play chess at the age of 11 and joined a chess club after two weeks of training. From then on I played almost daily, at home, at school, competition, tournaments, you name it. When I went to university I played less, but at least once a week. I visited big tournaments to watch the really big guys like Kasparov, Nigel Short, Kramnik, Anand, etc play. After a few years I only played online at a site that does not exist anymore and visited tournaments. I haven't played in about two years now, but I really feel I should start playing again.
