For anyone in doubt in mean Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Iceland and Faroe Islands when I say the nordic region.

I myself am Danish.. And I seem to have encountered quite a few Norwegian domainers in here.

Would be fun to catch up with a few domainers from ones own "turf" :)

EDIT

As a few have correctly pointed out Iceland and Faroe islands are also a part of the nordic region and have been added. Sorry about that :)

Yes I'm from Norway :)

Love danish artists like Kai Drews, Sven Drews, and Alfred Larsen (to only mention a few I am looking at this very moment). Been collecting antique oil paintings from that regions for years. Certainly undervalued, underapprectiated, and superb artisans.

Also, could it be than my ancestors are Viking descent? Norman region I believe.

Ahhh..... I remember travelling in Norway for about month when I was 10 years old. I thoroughly enjoyed buying beer in the pop machines and playing the Kroner machines (if that's what they are called). You flip kroner trying to get them into a slot and magnify your monies if you hit the slots - my first gambling addiction! (Absolutely beautiful country!)

Out of curiosity - are .eu domain names popular anywhere in the Nordic regions?

Im from sweden, Malmö. Yes would be nice to meet up for some beers ;)

I live in Lund, Sweden (10 mins from Malmö). I would also be up for it, if we do it after new years (not in the country untill then). Me and oberheimer can give you a tour of the "dirty south" if you want :)

Sure after new years, what about the 9th of jan. A new year and a fresh start for your business. Anyone who is interested can post here. I can sort out with the list, who is coming and everything. Where shall we meet up?
any suggestions?
Maybe Malmö between Copenhagen and Lund ;)

I'm from Iceland (one of the nordic countries) but I grew up in Kävlinge in Sweden which is close to Malmö

What about feb the 13th (saturday)

Thanks a lot for reviving this thread Oberheimer..

I would love to meet up for a beer or two. Unfortunately I am currently traveling SE Asia (at Siem Reap - Angkor Wat atm). I wont be home before the start of March.. But would still love to join if possible

A Nordic domainer hookup would've been awesome indeed! Count me in.

BTW, any Nordics going to T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Milan in April? Would've been awesome to hook up there.

Yeah, same here, but I figured I had to go when T.R.A.F.F.I.C. "for once" is only 2 hours away (on a plane that is). Instead of that 14 hour flight to Vegas etc..

Yes you got a point and as someone said you can not afford not to go. There is also Dublin - Ireland August 24 - 26, 2010
But Milan would be nicer.

I want to go to Dublin as well, never been to Ireland before and I think it's nice there in August.

We'll stay in touch. :)
