Arcelor-Mittal press meet at 1730 hrs in Luxembourg
Luxembourg: Arcelor-Mittal will hold a press conference today at Arcelor's headquarters here at 1730 hrs IST today to highlight the broader issues that led to one of the biggest mergers in the steel industry.

After intense negotiations for about eight hours last evening, Arcelor SA announced acceptance of Mittal's improved bid by 10 per cent to 25.9 billion euros (32.4 billion dollars) that would create an entity three times bigger than its nearest rival.

The Arcelor Board will recommend the new offer of Mittal Steel, which would now be placed before shareholders for approval.

While weighing Mittal's offer, which was till recently considered as unfriendly and hostile by its acquisition target, Arcelor Board preferred Mittal over Russian steel giant OAO Severstal, whose chief Alexei Mordashov lamented that he was not heard by Arcelor.

First. Why you are so be afraid of TOP500 C&D letters? Limit you responsibility by forming a Limited Corporation and all, what you can loose is only reg fee. And may be you corporation...

Second. It is not a company Arcelor-Mittal and not a TM. It is the mix from 2 different TM's. Company only would be (or may be) formed at the end of this year.

Third. I give a name to my cat "Arcelor-Mittal". And do not will place any adv or clime intention to sell this domain. It is fairly using of this domain?

Why I must to be so concerned for my own skin?
Please, give me example.

And last - I can register TM in different country or in different class... For example "home pets", CLASS 44?

Arcelor-Mittal.biz ????????

HOW do you want to make money with that name??? Do you expect type-ins? lol :pound:

Do you want to sell that name to the future Arcelor Mittal steel group? (Arcelor-Mittal name will be replaced anyway).

Sorry but i think you wasted 10 bucks, and you are asking for trouble.

It would be hard to register a name worse than yours. Congratulations.

It's not April's Fool Day :faint2: :faint2: :faint2:

It doesnt matter what you named your cat. I cant just go out tomorrow and buy a dog and name him microsoft and then use that as an excuse to start registering microsoft domain names. Either Arcelor or Mittal could take the name away from you. You could also be sued or fined so you can lose more than just regfee. Also your name has a dash along with the biz extension which makes it worthless anyway.

Give me only one example. Only one... Where domain is used and no evidence of registration and use in bad faith.... And domain registrant is foreign corporation... And somebody (beneficiary of this corporation) lost more the regfee + dollar?

so you are saying that your lawyers and all court and legal fees will be free if they wanted to take you to court? No point in owning a TM name if you have no intention of making money from it or selling it for a profit. You also made the huge mistake of posting it in this appraisal forum and asking if its worth anything. That shows that you have bought the name in bad faith right there. They could just google the name and see the forum and photocopy it.

Then you are asking about worth of your used car it is not a clear statement that you are ready to sell it.

It is a statement that your looking to sell, buying a name like that is quite strange if your not looking to sell or gain money from it. It is such a unique name that you would lose it instantly and could end up costing you a lot of money, remember its a billion dollar company.

Doesnt matter, thats how the law works. Read the million other threads about this stuff. If you posted asking for its worth that is bad faith and shows you are trying to make money.

Sorry young grasshopper, you have lots to learn. I made that mistake only once. Cost me eight bucks to reg. and nothing to get rid of!!!

Hindsight is 20/20. Take heed. This forum can be invaluable in helping avoid the c&d letters or legal issues.

But you seem "VOLATILE AND GUN-HO!" . Go ahead with your "fabolous" domain u got yourself there and good luck!

It has been said before by those smarter than I, however I will add one more line to this bad, bad idea.

Argue if you will ( even name your cat or goat this name). No LLC or any other corporate structure will allow you any protection.

First, you regged the name the same day as the press release.
Second, your original post in a PUBLIC forum quoted the press release.
Next, you announced you plans to create a corporate veil or some other subterfuge.

Come on, admit it - THIS NAME WAS REGISTERED IN BAD FAITH.

The only smart thing you did was post here.

Do another smart thing - LISTEN to the advice from the pros.

One last thing - trying to defend your actions will get you labelled as a "cybersquatter". The 'net can become a mighty unfriendly place very fast.

HEED GOOD ADVICE.
