I just received a bid of 10K euro for this domain. What are your ideas? Should i ask for more? I haven't responded to the bid yet.

Sounds like a great offer! Was that their first bid? Any idea where it's coming from? I'd say the reseller price on the domain would be around $700 given the premium letters, but can't see any really obvious end users in the Google results. I'd certainly be prepared to do a deal at that price - no harm in seeing if they will go any higher though, although be warned with Sedo if they cancel the negotiations you won't be able to get back in touch with them and they may disappear forever. That said if 10k euros was their first bid it's either someone messing around or it's a seriously motivated buyer!

****** CGRP Calcitonin Gene-Related Peptide
****** CGRP Common Hardware Reference Platform
**** CGRP Controlled Goods Registration Program

Anyway, 10k is well above what you would get from a reseller. Try to negotiate wisely, and take their best offer.

I'm not sure yet. I'll probably have to counter offer as the first bid is usually lower than what they eventually are willing to pay. However, as its with sedo, i have no idea who the bidding party is :(

The domain used to, in the old days, be from a New York stock exchange listed company Circle Group Internet, and i just noticed that China Entertainment Group now has that ticker symbol CGRP.

I too think this probably is an end user since the price is quite high even for LLLL names. The domain however has a much used letter group "grp" which is commonly used for "group". A lot of **grp.com names are registered.

Anyway, i'm not sure yet what to make the counter offer. I dont want to scare them off :)

I did counter with 25K while i was under the influence of an alcoholic aperitif, which may not have been too wise a decision at that time ;) I haven't had a response yet, but i hope on a counter offer. It's too bad that i can't directly contact the bidder to do real negotiations which always go easier. Also i didnt add a comment to the offer because sedo usually takes ages to process comments.

Anyway, i'll post the outcome (if any) here :)

I assume this bidder is not an end user, end users always start off with $500 bid in my experience... and then settle for $xxxx $xx xxx....

unless you are very lucky and the bid 10K is real! you should be able to get 20-100K!
