This guy tried to pull the appraisal scam on me last week.

He mentioned he was at the public forums but I didnt get his user name. Not sure if he used his real name in the emails but this is all I have.

He made an offer, I countered, then he came back with "his accountant wants a verified appraisal" BS

Yes I got an email from him too and strongly suspected it was a scam.

Strangely he never followed up his £6000 offer for my name when I asked him for his full contact details!

I also noted he had just recently registered his email address domain name!

received the same email under a different name, even after i called him out on his scam he still was trying to justify the appraisals, lol

Report him to GoDaddy where he registered the domain; GD has zero tolerance to scams.

He will just get a new domain and keep going...better to let him ride and have his name and email posted here as long as possible.

It looks like Isaac Schumacher is now Abram Birnbaum and he is trying to keep it "confidential" with a special confidential footer. Just reported it.

For your search indexing pleasure, here is the entire message redacted to take out the offending domain name:

I offer 12500.

Before we go further may I ask you for one thing?

First of all we need an official appraisal. So we will see the price is reasonable and based on the last market trends.

Please don't worry, it will take only 1-2 minutes of your time to order it. Then you will simply resend me the appraisal results via email.

Of course, we need a good in depth analysis made by experts. I don't trust automated free service. Without it we both can't be sure in the price.

It will include the trademark verification as well. Just a formality to be sure you have no problems with trademarks. Good companies offers this as a part of appraisal.

To avoid mistakes and wasting money on useless services I asked in the forum about reliable valuation/TM verification services.

Please read this information:
http://www.DontBotherGoingHere.net/Archive/jumblednumberhere.htm

If the evaluation comes higher you can change your asking price. After you send me the professional evaluation via email (usually it takes one day to get the results) we'll be doing business.

Best regards,

I find it so funny how they make an offer... and just a paragraph later, second-guess themselves by requesting an appraisal.

That contradiction should be the first indicator that something is up with these guys.

2.

I may offer up to 15,000 usd. I will tell you my final figure after you show
me a proof of the price.

What are your payment details? If this is your first time domain sale I may
help you with the process.

Are you a member of domain seller communities/forums? Probably we know each
other under some nicknames?
Best regards,

Before we go further I will ask about two small things:

1. We both need a valuation (appraisal of your domain made by independent experts). It will show me you are a legitimate seller and the price of your domain is reasonale based on the last market trends. Please don't worry, it will take only 1-2 minutes to get this verification.

2. I prefer appraisal service that also verifies possible trademark infringements. It's important for me to know that your domain has no problems with trademarks. You should not worry about it. You don't need to pay for this trademark verification service. Some good appraisers include this option (trademark infringement verification) as a free bonus to the appraisal service.

To avoid mistakes and wasting money on useless services I asked in the forum about reliable valuation/TM verification services.

Please read this information:

Most of experts recommend official ICAAN appraisal service.
The process is very easy:

1. Go to the official ICAAN appraisal site and order the valuation. After several hours you will get the results.

2. Please resend these results via email and we'll proceed with the deal.

If the evaluation comes higher you can change your asking price. After you send me the professional evaluation via email (usually it takes one day to get the results) we'll be doing business.

Then when you go to the seven-forums.net address there is Icaan.info for the appraisal. Guess what also in Scottsdale;))))

What a waste of time. Everybody knows those appraisial services are worthless anyway!

Same exact wording as my original guy...thats him

hah

that's a halfway almost decent skizzam set-up.

if the prey don't notice icaan should be icann

then the wool can be pulled over

the link to a forum with supporting bs is old, but the added con using that typo could be overlooked and if so, it can also add backward cred to that forum.

they getting slickr

imo...
