I have www.assurance.com in my portfolio of domains. It's the best one I own. I am considering selling it in Europe where I believe it has greater value that the US because in Europe "assurance" is synonymous with "insurance" here in the states. I've declined legitimate offers in the $50K range.

Hi, you have here a great name for sure.
However, I would have taken one of the offers in the $50k range.

Assurance is mostly used in French, for "insurance" as stated before, however the French domain market is not that interesting. Maybe within few years, when our beloved marketers will (finally) understand the importance of a good domain name.

Low $$,$$$ to a reseller IMO, sky being the limit for endusers.
Good luck :)

50k is a fair price, but if you market it you could probably get close to 100k.

You need to do some serious focused market research.

Develope a marketing brochure to sell the name.

Send it out to between 100-500 prospective purchasers - industry specific and others.

That's a great one word .com

I agree with the previous two posters, it
has a five or six figure dollar value, but
will depend on who you are selling it to
and how long you hold out to sell it.

Obviously it's worth over $50,000 if you've
already had offers in that range. If you
don't need the money, hold out for someone
to make you an offer you can't refuse.

I am French and I can tell you that you own one of the bests names for the French market. I think you have to keep it for few years because the domain name market in France simply hasn't really started...

I noticed domains like voiture.com (voiture = car) for sale on Sedo at a price of 50 to $60,000 and still waiting to be sold at this price. I guess it is due to the fact that the .fr is still waiting and waiting to be open to everyone...

French people and therefore French companies simply don't see the point in having/buying your domain, even if it worth a fortune (it is your case :approve: ).

So, at the moment I would appraise it at high $xx,xxx. In few years it will worth mid $xxx, xxx IMO.

Regards,

Fredo

.

You know why I love this name ? Because people love "security", and this name symbolizes just that, making people feel secure about whatever business plan may come from the domain name.

I like this name very much. $xx,xxx range.. Whether it be hi or low depends if you find the right buyer or not.. I wish you the best of luck !

All the best,
Truly,

Voiture.com is listed for years at sedo @ 45,000€ (USD 54,000) and still for sale. Jardinage.com (French for "gardening"), which is one of the most favorite hobbies here in France was sold few months ago for 5,000€ (USD 6,000).

In short words : there is almost NO demand, except from us, domainers :cheeky: .
Please also remember that nobody knows what will happen to the current domain name system within, let's say 8 years, so if you are too greedy, you might lose everything.

Again, good luck :^)
