I see a lot of this happening? Won't this run foul of the current Fed legislations?

The FEDs don't own the internet - even tho they want you to think it. It's a world wide item of use, I don't see how they can tell the world whats right or wrong.

They may not own the Internet...but very bad things will happen when masking domains like that.

The law is probably unconstitutional --but do you really have the money and time and infrastructure to fight the US government?

So.. why be the test case?

Play it safe until the law is struck down.

What about dot orgs? I realize you can't register a domain to 'intentionally decieve or mislead', and several attorneys have stated having a warning page or two shows on clear intent to mislead.

But, dot orgs were originally for organizations. So, if I have an adult domain on a dot org, can that be misconstrued as intentionally misleading, even with 3 warning pages?
