I frequently get offers from people at 163.com and 188.com. I'm not sure what to think... Is anyone else experiencing similar inquires? Something tells me they aren't legitimate, but then again I've been out of the loop for a while and I'm just trying to get idea about this.

Thanks!

I would assume they're legit as I don't think you'd have any problem getting high 5 figure offers for either of those domains.

Edit: I originally thought you meant you've gotten offers for 163.com and 188.com, but after rereading your original comment did you mean you're getting offers from e-mails associated with those domains?

I got emails from them too - many times they sent Chinese email which I don't understand.
They ask for pricing on the name but they never reply to email(s).

@Dorkside : yes getting offers from these domains, sorry if that wasn't clear.

I'll probably resume ignoring most of these as johnn does, although one of them actually offered a reasonable amount for a domain including covering the escrow — which basically motivated me to ask this question. In this particular circumstance it's very tough to know if I should respond or not.

~ Thanks for the feedback

List the domain on Sedo with the price they offered, and tell them they can buy it from there.

Lately we have been receiving almost one inquiry per day from Chinese about LLL.com domains.
Interestingly, the E-mails are often bilingual Chinese/English, or in Chinese only (40% of the time).

As if there was an expectation that everybody should understand Chinese now, just like English is today's lingua franca.
