Had to file extension since I was in California. Will have to file California, North Carolina, and Texas taxes. Sucks for me.

I taught Texas is Taxes free :) Yeah I am also filling in the NC

It is. But I will still have indicate on NC taxes as a partial resident...8 months Texas, 2 months NC, 2 months California.

If I were to move, California by far has so much to offer in terms of beauty and being outdoors. But their taxes suck BIG.

Texas is another option, especially the Austin area. No state Income Tax is the driving force to Texas state population explosion. Good Move Texas!

NC is quite nice and I love the area but also quite fearful of having to pack up and move. Massive yard sale would help...about 2 weeks long.
