On December 2nd, 2014 almost 20,000 .xyz domains will be released which were earlier held back due to name collision.
.xyz already has some 725,000 plus registrations so far and is the most popular new gTLD.
The names would be up for grabs on first come first served basis.
So, if you are planning to grab some .xyz and add it to your portfolio, watch out for the time on 2nd December. There would be many people eyeing on the same domain, and whoever is faster gets the domain. The time of release is 14:00 UTC
