urn it without cost after a free trial, on occasion grabbing hundreds of thousands of names in one swoop.

He was one of the first to take advantage of a loophole that allows people to register a name and ret

And what few people know is that he's also the man behind the domain world's latest scheme: profiting from traffic generated by the millions of people who mistakenly type ".cm" instead of ".com" at the end of a domain name.

thats another way of typo squatting. At least this guy accepts it publicly

So Kevin runs HitFarm.
How many of you are going to move to Vancouver? If not mistaken, I think Yun Ye was from there too.

Vancouver and Australia seem to be where the best domainers live.

I used to live there! Does that count? All that domaining was going on right in my own backyard...

Don't feel bad -- I used to have a 'real job' in Carlsbad Ca, occasionally buying domains on my break at work, and I kept noticing a red ferarri with a tag something about "WS".

After working there several years, the day I moved on I learned that the .WS headquarters was LESS THAN 1/2 BLOCK AWAY the whole time, in an office/industrial complex I simply had never gone into.

Luckily I never bought any .ws domains, but it still was an odd geographical coincidence.

there are a lot of us in that boat. What really kills me is that I knew about domains early on - bought 50+ one night in 1997 and started from there - but.... didn't buy the right ones. Then even in 2003 when I first reg'd here I was kicking myself about 1997 instead of buying great drops...

(50 people reading this post nodding their head in agreement...5 or 6 reading this post counting piles of cash on their countertops...)
