as.ro domain extension?

.ro is the top level domain for Romania. It seems that as.ro is a private domain on the .ro tld and not a second level domain.

as.ro is a domain and no extension
no it is used as extension,,, ex: dnforum.as.ro
reason why im asking is i'm developing a domain name in which i have trademarked (name not site) and got approved. google shows the same domain , however with an as.ro extension
