Australia or New Zeeland? Place to Live, Work and Raise a Family

Hi guys,

I am planning to relocate from Canada/US either to Australia (Sydney or Brisbane) or New Zeeland (Oakland) to work and leave there with my spouse and kids for about year and a half - 2 years, may be longer if we like to stay there. I've seen some of domainers here from those two countries and wondering if someone do not mind to answer few questions off-line or if you have any thoughts or resources to share with a potential migrant - please feel free to post them here.

If you're planning to raise sheep there is no place better than New Zealand.
There is a good reason why kids growing up in the Midwest can't wait to run away from home, say, to LA or NYC

Nothing bad... but I have a business opportunity there that requires to be in those region for a few years.

africa is a pretty big place!
im sure places in the US and Africa are wonderful to bring up kids. just not that many :smilewinkgrin:

one thing worthy of note, i know a number of families who moved to Australia. all moved back. to come back to this hole, the UK, that says something
i also know a few families who have gone to NZ. they're still there

but the place you're moving from. well the Brits who moved there I know, can't take the smile off their face. they LOVE Canada. I'm sure you will return. if for a couple of years, have great fun and adventure. great for the kids too

LOL. You are right about the climate unless you are in British Columbia. Yes, medical is mostly free but you will die before you see the specialist so I prefer to stay healthy and do not visit them that ofthen... buy you never know...

Nah, you heard wrong, it's Domainoslavia actually, we changed the name a few times recently... You should checkout domaingang.com more often, they write about us almost every week...

DNP, although I can't say anything specifically about New Zealand or Australia (other than I can show you where it's located on the world map so you can know where you're going ), I hope you get settled with your family without any issues, wherever you decide to stay.
