I bought Authoritative.com from WebMagic (http://web.org/firesale.html) a while back for development into a unique site that provided authoritative information to people.

I thought (and still think) the site would be a big hit and provide for a wonderful opportunity to promote various affiliate programs on a variety of topics.

Sort of a "Dear Abby" general infromation advice site, About.com-like site, or a "...for dummies" authoritative site. Would be great to develop various ebooks promoting various topics and having tons of links to affiliate programs inside the "authoritative information" to generate income.

I searched and found many book titles contained the word "authoritative" in them, especially near the front of the book title. Seems to add vaue if a book or ebook is "authoritative" or an "authoritative guide".

I am looking for appraisals for Authoritative.com at this time, as I may have to sell it rather than develop it.

Actually it is not too complicated. It is easy to remember, descriptive and brandable.

A bit too long to type ("authority.com" would have clearly been a lot more valuable), so that's why I didn't give it much attention at Webmagic's sale.

Worth a few hundred dollars, at least, though.

I know .com is "king" here but in this particular case .info may be more valuable.
