Check the WHOIS for ManhattanAssets.com.

1) Registered at DomainPeople, just like Communicate.com's other domains.

2) Same registrant address.

Hmmmmm.

don't wish them the best, it was obviously a publicity stunt, and not a real business deal. we should be mad at them for wasting our time.

I thought it was a fact that that deal was a publicity stunt (beauty.cc).

Plus it isnt CASH $1 mill ... its the VALUE of the overall deal they signed.

The buyer was identified in a news release as Manhattan Assets Inc., a private U.S. corporation. Efforts to locate the firm to learn plans to exploit the properties were unsuccessful, despite e-mail and phone calls to Communicate.com (CMNN: news, chart, profile), and Web searches on Hoovers.com and Google.

The average price of the domains sold, $250,000, is significantly higher than that being asked by brokers such as GreatDomains.com.

"Magic 8-Ball, is this yet another lame scam sale for publicity?"

:shakes Magic 8-Ball and flips it over:

8-Ball pops up the plastic that reads: "My sources say yes."
