Sorry for this. I use my toolbar to verify the PR. I know of this link though which currently doesn't load here.

I try to post here as fast as I can and as soon as I get these names after the "simple" check so that you have the chance to snap them as some of them are gone within minutes. What I do though, I filter those out which are not listed in the Y! Directory (anymore) although I receive them as listed their which is not correct. With the Y! Directory you can be 100% sure that I doublechecked ;-)

Before you reg you should re-check PR, something which everyone does anyway I guess.

What I find strange is that when checking PR with http://www.seologs.com/pr-check/pagerank.html that almost every time it shows "couldn't verify" with sites I own which have PR. I doubt the site can really distinguish.

This seems to happen when that tool can't find the domain listed in Google's index. I use a future page rank checker as well to check the PR.
The tool you linked is very useful for finding faked PR domains. It seems to weed those out well.
I have found that the domains that it can't find usually have a valid PR.

So you say when it cannot find or verify that the PR should be valid. Damn! Because I was unsure I missed to reg a dropped and available PR5 one. Better luck next time.

Btw, I looked up a domain which is being auctioned here:

used the fake pr checker and it returned as invalid!! Just check yourself and see! *lol* And the guy at ebay is selling it as a genuine PR6!
