Where: DRT Auction
Wow! Very good price for non-premium LL.com

I think all LL.com's are in a class by themselves, to be honest.

I would classify them all as premium, regardless of letter combo.

But let's not forget, this is also the recognized state abbreviation for Arizona.

I think someone may have just got a bargain.

"A to Z" comes to mind. Or, from beginning to end as a metaphor ("alpha & omega" in Greek).

I absolutely agree! With only 676 possible, out of how-many? million domains, any LL.com, IMO, should sell for a mininum of $1M to $2M, and probably will reach that level in the next two to four years.

AZ = Arizona

I own the .CC version :approve: I know, not even in the same state (get it, state). Ok, yes I'm bored. :disappointed:

it's a shame previous 12 public auctions only sold for really low 6 figs...

i think it will be interesting to see who/what made the purchase.

The first thing that came to mind was PimpDaddy Bob.

But if this is to be used as a site for Arizona, what a gem.

Considering Arizona has become a mecca for retirees and a major tourist attraction.

But, we'll see (or not) with an updated WHOIS.

AZ .com definitely star of the show for me.

Agreed no such thing as bad letters on a LL, and for me these are some of the best

A-Z is the immediate thing that springs to mind.

Whois is showing these guys as owners, updated today;

A to Z Networking Services

I wonder what Adam's SM.com would be worth, considering that it can stand for "S&M"..

btw, check out Ds.com. The company wants 1.5 million dollars. They might actually get it by next year.

Personally, I hope they all skyrocket into the stratosphere.

$500K may become the new standard in short time.

You got a few tucked away? ;)

They are amazing letters to have for an LL.com, especially because of the A-Z. I think $500k for an LL.com will look a bargain in a few years.

AZ.com is a premium but not a super premium imho.

Is there an archive of 2 letter domain sales on here or another site?

LI.com also sold for $500k recently....

In terms of premium with LL combo's, we are talking about brandability right?

Apart from LL combo's with the same letter, what's more memorable then AZ.com ?

How many times do you hear the phrase, everything from "A to Z"...

Is everyone satisfied that this sale of AZ.com initiated and completed its sale resulting from the DRT 2007? Escrow through Name Intelligence? This is interesting information and quite compelling --- for me.

thanks for your comments. I welcome as many opinions regarding this as possible.

I love the twist on "from A to Z", a great shopper's paradise.

But imagine this for a state's tourism industry?

And can you imagine state names and codes like Hawaii (HI) Maine (ME) Michigan (MI), Ohio (OH)...damn, where was I 15-20 years ago.

Oh yeah...there are still records to be broken.

I agree. I mean what people call super premium are AC or AA i guess & top endusers would kill for them too

However its the LL combos with extra meaning , like you say that lend themselves to branding & alternate speacial meanings like:

QI

IQ

AZ

XX

etc.

The country codes .US & .UK were bought back (or kept originally ) & now they sell off subdomains.
So i guess if we take away the 'country endings' like this that are being used this way.
Take away established online businesses that will probably never sell, or if they do, you gotta buy the business too, then of course the LL.coms that were never registered or withheld.

Its a pretty finite list of availability.

what's XX meaning Pred? softcore porn?
