I think the 24 hour window is a bit extreme, perhaps a 2 hour "extended time" would be long enough. The "extended time" takes care of sniping, which is eBay's fallacy, IMO.
I have a question though: if I make consecutive posts, raising my own high bid, is the sale's 24-hour window pushed further ahead?
Also, since this resembles an auction more than a sale, pearhaps it should have been listed in the auction forum.

Offer of $410 received from trader before the window closed as stated in this post and PM's timing.
I have to agree that this might go on forever and I am going to change the rules a bit so that it will not happen.
I will lower BIN to 700 for anyone who wishes to end this right away.
As for the window glitch, I will set the sale to end with the highest offer 12 hours (
OR BIN offer) from time of post. That would be 11:00:00 according to the time at http://www.time.gov/timezone.cgi?Eastern/d/-5/java
