A buddy of mine really wants a domain that expires today.

We have placed backorders at SnapNames and Pool.

Should I place a backorder anyplace else?

Also, the name is to expire today, will it immediately go to auction if there are more than one bidder?

I still find this backorder stuff a bit confusing...

Thaks!

The registrar it is currently with is your best indicator of where you should place the backorder.

Many registrars feed expiring names to a specific backorder company or auction themselves. If it is a random registrar I would recommend adding NameJet to the ones you have already listed.

Expiring tomorrow may not mean dropping either....there is the registrar grace period, then redemption, then pending delete and then dropped (assuming it is a gTLD and it isn't with a registrar that auctions the name during the grace period)

Cheers and good luck

I would also recommend adding Namejet to your list.

Be careful with snap & namejet because your bid could be visible to others, thus drawing attention to the name. And it may be useless depending on the current registrar.
Which registrar is it ?
