Hi all,
I am relatively new to this. I just started this year.
I bought a few adsense tutorials and followed some advice. One thing i did was follow a suggestion by Ryan Deiss (not sure about the spelling) and added this "....." at the end of a paragraph that was followed by adsense ads to increase CTR. He plainly stated that it is an aggressive technique that he uses, and that he was sent letters in the past from google asking him to change his sites, and that he has never been banned from adsense.
I was testing the procedure, and google banned me. It's my fault, I took the risk and lost. Nobody to blame but myself.
I mentioned my adsense experience to my boyfriend (a builder) and he developed an interest in adsense, opened and account, and added adsense adds to his real estate/construction site. He was doing well (8% ctr for the month of June) and was really looking at this seriously. Just this evening, he received an email from google stating that his account has been banned because it is related to a previous account that has been banned.
His accounts and my accounts are completely separate, but he would occasionally check his google account at my house when he was over, so it would be easy for google to know that he is using my computer via ip address. He is upset with me.
Does anyone have any recommendations on how he can resolve the situation with google, or a replacement program that is as good?
When I got banned i started using adbrite, but the revenue is far, far less than google. For my situation, this is because adbrite just doesn't have the advertiser base to deliver such highly targeted ads to my site that google has.
I am in a pickle and would appreciate any help/advice you can share.
Thank you all.
